Bio

I have been retired from dentistry due to a congenital spinal condition since late 2002. I also was born and raised Episcopalian by a father who was a "cradle" Catholic and a mother who was born Methodist. I was very active as a child in our church as an acolyte, etc. I was also the only child in my family to be confirmed as well. I have spent almost 10 years in missionary work with the Episcopal Church in Corito, a small coastal village in Honduras, CA, near Guatemala and the bay of Omoa. During my recovery from back surgery, a laminectomy from L2-L5, in November of 2002 I had been searching and praying for some sort of spiritual direction as I had become very disenchanted with the American Episcopal Church. Oddly enough, or rather should I say, by the grace of G-d, two Catholic friends of mine and their respective priests approached me about my conversion to Catholicism. After a wonderful introduction to a retired Monsignor and many extended telephone conversations he felt I was properly prepared for my confirmation last November. I can't begin to explain the wonderful feeling of peace and balance that I have enjoyed since that unforgettable day. What a blessed family we all enjoy!
