Biden's bishop and his prochoice sheep
For those wondering if Joe Biden was going to be able to receive Communion in his own diocese anymore, Catholic News Service has his bishop's comments on the question:
"I look forward to the opportunity to enter into a dialogue on a number of issues with Sen. Biden and other Catholic leaders in the Diocese of Wilmington," Bishop Francis Malooly wrote in The Dialog, the Wilmington diocesan newspaper.
"However, I do not intend to get drawn into partisan politics nor do I intend to politicize the Eucharist as a way of communicating Catholic Church teaching," he continued. "It is critical to keep the lines of communication open if the church is going to make her teachings understood and, please God, accepted.
"It is my belief that Catholics of all occupations have the same duty to examine their own consciences before determining their worthiness for the reception of Communion."
Whether Biden ends up as VP, Malooly's got my vote for a thougtful, well-reasoned approach to this issue.

Clearly Biden is in grave sin, it's obvious, he shouldn't get communion, and since it's public knowledge, it shouldn't be offered him.
Bishops and Priests need to heed the Vatican closer, they've become as impotent as a frail 90 year old, so scared to make any controversy, chickens in the face of the lord no doubt.
Jesus threw the tables of marketers and traders off the steps of his fathers house, he didn't go up and kindly ask them to leave.
For every collection plate contributor they're afraid of losing, they've already lost by Catholics who have left the church because they believe it's leadership has become weak, feable and futile.
let me ask you bishop malooly, what do you plan on telling the lord someday when you meet him? 'well i know they want to make it easier to murder babies, but geez they're so popular I can't make waves'
or well I know they want to make it easier to destroy your miracle with mans tools of evil, but I think he has other good quality's like affordable health care for the living...
If it rains for 40 days and 40 nights, I won't look up and ask God why, I'll look at the weak leadership of the church and say...told you so...
Good for Bishop Malooly!

bishop Malooly
By robo (not verified) on Friday, November 21, 2008I guess the words by Jesus of removing the dust from ones sandles means nothing to you.
Or if one does not follow,to get a witness and again tell them, and then three.
If they do not follow then do we continue to dialogue?
I suppose if we know of a Satanist that is up at the Altar to receive the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ the Bishop would not have a problem handing Christ over to him to disrespect pretty much on the same line as the dressed up fake nun cross dressers that spat out the Eucharist on the floor.
Thank God for an intelligent
